Acer Tempo M900, F900, X960, DX900 mobile phones on the board




Acer has launched the mobile phone number in Barcelona Acer Tempo. Tempo of the Acer is the first step by the Taiwanese notebook PC manufacturer in the mobile arena. Acer Tempo is available in eight models, the company said. Design looks good? Spec is ok? I guess the price will be the killer. Usally ACER products are very well priced. Any one got any views?

Will ACER be able compete in smartphone segment?

The top-end Acer on the phone is Tempo Tempo M900 Series Acer. The smartphone, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. is aimed at business users. Tempo The M900 is a slider phone with a physical keyboard and a large 3.8 inch WVGA touchscreen. It offers HSDPA mobile broadband and WiFi plus Bluetooth.

Acer M900 -Tempo Acer M900 also comes with a fingerprint sensor, which makes keeping the password a thing of the past. In addition to Windows Mobile 6.1, the Tempo Acer M900 also features Microsoft Office Mobile with Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. The sliding keyboard means it's easier to edit documents written a long journey. Acer tempo M900 mobile phone will also have GPS, FM radio, voice recording and voice command functions. The expandable memory in the M900 Tempo makes it easy to store large files. The 5 megapixel (MP) camera at the time of M900 is equipped with a flash.

Acer F900 -Acer No. 2 line in the F900 is the tempo. Acer Tempo F900 is connected to the internet as a mobile phone easier. Acer DX900 & X960 -The Tempo Tempo DX900 and X960 are the "minor" in the model in the series Acer Tempo. The black and silver Tempo X960 has a VGA touchscreen of 2.8 inches and no physical keyboard. The five-way navigation button allow easy maneuvering around the phone. Acer has also loaded the 960 with Windows Mobile and Windows Mobile Office applications.

Tempo The X960 comes with GPS functionality, although the availability of the map and load the software required is a different story in India. The press release on the Acer X960 Tempo does not mention if the phone comes preloaded with maps or not. Acer mobile phone also features a VGA 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with flash. There is one side of the front camera for video calls too.

Acer DX900 - Acer DX 900 smartphone is a dual SIM card, support for 3.5G (HSDPA) and 2.75G (EDGE), the SIM cards. The 2.8-inch touchscreen has a VGA screen. The buttons are large and easy to finger. Animated icons and 3D transition effects are part of the user interface.

Speed dialing panel features photos contact for most frequent use of numbers in email client Outlook Mobile can access their email for business and easy to read attachments. The DX900 has a VGA camera on front for video calls, voice recorder, voice command, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto flash and expandable memory. With its dual SIM functionality, Acer claims that the tempo DX960 is essentially two phones in one.

As specialists pointed out, neither one of these smartphones revolutionizes the mobile market, but they are well designed, decent featured phones that should be considered by all smartphone users.
