Hitachi has always been ahead of the time. Now Hitachi has developed a hybrid camcoders that combines two modes of data storages into one packaging so that video-editing is rendered superflous on the PC.
The Hitachi DZ-HS303 first captures videos and store them into integrated hard disk. Here movies can be shortened, edited and provided with apertures as well as effects before they burn into an 8cm DVD. The integrated DVD burner on DZ-HS303 can be located easily enough - the round cap is on the right casing as is case in all DVD camcoders.
The hard disk is more difficult to find since the 8GB memory is not much bigger than a compact flash card. You would find it where least expected - in the lid of the DVD case. Both storage options have been conceived for storing video's that are compressed with a MPEG2 codec. Hitachi stores the 3.3 megapixel photos on the SD card thus making the memory-trio complete.
Normaly DVD camcoders take some time to get ready to shoot after your switch them on but the DZ-HS303SW does this faster.
